Fall has arrived; the mornings are crisp and shrouded by fog and there are officially more apples on the ground than in the trees. I'll be honest, it makes me a bit excited. I love the change of seasons and the traditions that come with each of them: jams, baking, candles, the first fires in the fireplace, and of course Cider Pressing! Here's a little glimpse into our Life on the Lane.
It's a big job to press 40 gallons of cider, so Aaron gets in work mode and I get in 'people' mode. As our cousin Angela pointed out, 'Kelly, you love to turn every gathering into an event'. Yep, she's right. And honestly, why not? All of our lives are filled with lovely bits and pieces, they're tucked in around the work and everyday tasks. So, lets celebrate the moments. It's in the celebration that we are encouraged to slow down and take in the beauty of living.
Whether you have big fall traditions or not : we encourage you to carve out some time to celebrate life together.
